Jeanne Allen works to advance policies and practices that ensure children have access to 21st century education, and the programs and schools that best meet their needs. She founded and serves as CEO of the Center for Education Reform (CER) which for almost 3 decades has influenced critical changes in how US education operates. In 2021, she launched the Yass Prize for Sustainable, Transformational, Outstanding and Permissionless Education to reward education providers who perform for underserved students. She is a frequent writer, commentator and podcast host. She holds an MS from the University of Pennsylvania and a BA from Dickinson College.
